Susan McDougal (born 1955) is one of the few persons who have spent time in jail as a consequence of the Whitewater investigation, despite the fact that fifteen others were found guilty of different federal crimes. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison for contempt of court after refusing to answer “three questions” for a grand jury regarding whether President Bill Clinton lied in his testimony during the Whitewater trial.
